Square sets

As far as I could know both of these two drawing instruments you can see in the left are referred in English as "square sets".

To distinguish one from the other you have to point to properties they have as geometric figures, and that leads us to the questions I wanted you to answer.

• Why are these instruments like this, and no other way?
What does each one have in special, apart from a right angle?

• Have they to do with some regular poligons in some way? Which ones?

  1. Hello!

    - Because they have an appropriate form for doing straight line.

    - They have acute angles.

    - They form two triangles.

    Bye bye!

  2. Hello class! :))

    • Because with this exact degrees, we can make parallel lines, perpendicular lines, angles (15º, 30º, 45º, 60º, 75º, 90º...) and poligons, like cuadrilateral and triangle.
    • Two other angles that are acute or obtuse. If we put all them together, we will have 180º (because they are triangles)
    • Yes, they can form squares and triangles.

    Bye! :P

  3. Hello!

·Because with this form, we can do with them many things like perpendicular and parallel lines, poligons and many types of lines.
    ·They can do acute angles.
    ·They can form triangles.

    Goodbye!

  4. Hi!

~Because they can make differents lines and polygons with this form.
~They have two acute angles in their form.
~They can form two differents triangles.

  5. Hello!

    - Because with this form you can make differents lines: perpendicular....and polygons and if this instruments don´t have this form you can´t make straight lines.

    - Which can form an angle of 180 degrees and become triangles can do lines with any position.

    - Yes, they can form differents triangles and squares.

    Bye!

  9. Hello class!
1)Because we can make differents lines and polygons with this form.
2)In this case we have acute angles.
3)Yes, we can form two different triangles: squares and triangles.

    Bye bye!

    1. Hello!

1º Because they form very diferent forms:lines, polygons...

2º Is posible form an acute angles

3º Can form triangles and squares
