It
is not easy to identified rocks because there are so many kids of them. But
here you have an interactive game where you can test a variety of rocks in
terms of their properties.
You
will work with 4 characteristics which are used to help identify rocks.
You have to click the arrows to choose a rock. Then you have to put it into the
tester and click the four levels to test the rock and see:
1.-
if it wear well (if it is not easily damage)
2.-
if it is permeable (if water penetrates into its pores)
3.-
if it splits (if it breaks easily)
4.-
if it floats (if it doesn´t sink to the bottom of the jar)
You
can also click on the magnifying glass to find out more about the rocks and
click the speaker to hear the words read aloud.

---Pumice is my favourite rock, here you have the uses of this rock:
It is used as an abrasive, especially for glass cleaners, rubber, cosmetic exfoliants, and production of faded jeans. It is often used in beauty salons during the pedicure process to remove excess skin from the bottom of the foot, as well as the hardships. Powder it's added to some toothpastes and cleaning of hands (like soap wash), as a mild abrasive.

☻ My favourite rock is pumice, also know as <> because it comes from volcanoes and I like volcanoes. Moreover, I like it becuase it has many pores and it's VERY VERY light! Most of the uses are relacionated with cosmetics, becuase with this rock you can 'clean' your face!

My favourite rock is the marble these stones consist of large quantities of calcium carbonate besetting processes of crystallization. This is why they are easily refine and offer important brightness. Are hard rock and white.

- I don't have a favourite stone, but, perhaps, I prefer the marble because its colour or the pumice, because its texture.
