                                               LONDON

First, I wanted to thank you for this wonderful trip, that I learned a lot. A trip thatI will never forget.
Mainly wanted to talk about the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, which I thought was fantastic, or history museum, I thought it would be a pain but it was the best museum because he had many interesting activities and games, along with a gift shop where somebody bought something. We also saw Big Ben was fantastic, we all remember that we started to make photos with Big Ben in the background.
Well, as to forget the nights at the hotel ... My best night was definitely the second, Andrea, Anna, Laura and I met Begoña and we became very good friends ... But the others nights were also very funny too, making us photos or with our nutella and sandwiches ... but it was that we ate, although hamburgers too.
Well, I could say much more because it was a wonderful trip ...

 QUESTIONS:

·) What do you think about the breakfast in the hotel?
·) What was your favourite night?
·) What was your favourite museum?

Our Days In London

Hello class, do you remember our days in London?

I hope you remember them. Well, you can see that this foto was taken in a tipical red phone box and we were like: <Oh my God, let's take a picture here!>. But it was full of rubish.

In the hotel, we met a lot of people from other parts of Spain, like Galicia, Cataluña, Mallorca, etc. Funny things although happened like Blanca's histerical-sentece: <¡LAS VEINTE "PAUNDS"!> Or the epic magikarp of Antonio: MAGIKAARP

I like this photo so much because everybody was doing whatever they did and I was like: <I GOT YOU, NIGGA>.

And now the question:
1- Which menu did you take almost in McDonalds?
2- Did you meet other people in the hotel? From where they are?
3- How much food did you bring to London?

OUR JOURNEY TO LONDON

It´s been a long time since be went to London but I'm sure that you remember. If you didn't come with us, I'm going to show you some things that we saw.

First I'm going to talk about the Buckingham Palace. There we saw the change of guard of the soldiers of the palace. It happens everyday at 11:30 am and it's 45 minutes long. It´s really spectacular. An important fact of the Buckingham Palace is that the queen Elizabeth II lives there.

Now I will talk about the  Big Ben, a high tower with a huge clock situated in the Parliament. The Big Ben is the most famous place of London. Every tourist who visit  London take a photo next to it.

Another place we visited were the London Bridge. It was really good! We couldn't see it opening but we crossed it. That's the most important thing about the bridge and it's also an important place in London.

Finally I'm going to talk about the Hyde Park. The Hyde Park is one of the biggest parks of London. We made a tour through the park and we tried to ride some boats in the lake but we couldn't. Finally we  stayed there relaxing and playing.

Now I want you to tell me:

1- Which was your favorite place from these?

2- What did you do at the Hyde Park?

3- How long is the change of guard of the Buckingham Palace?

4- What is the most famous place of London?

Perfect days

First , thank you for this magnificent journey beside you , without you it would not be the same, because each one of you brings something different to this class.

We were all very sleepy when we arrived at seven o'clock to Plano, and we were also very nervous. When we arrived at Malaga airport we were all very preocupated about the weight of our bags , and when we finally boarded the plane many were afraid for our first flight .

When we arrived in London , after a long ride on the bus, we arrived at the hotel , which became one of the sites I most enjoyed .

On that day we visited China Town, Covent Garden, from my point of view were some very interesting places. We also visited Leicester Square, an impressive site , which was definitely one of my favorites.

The second day we visited the Big Ben , the Houses of Parliament , Westminster Abbey, Westminster Brigde , Downing Street and Trafalgar Square, in the morning, and after lunch we went to Soho, National Gallery and Piccadilly Circus. That day I really liked were some places that impressed me , although some more than others.

The third day , we went to St Paul 's Cathedral , Millennium Bridge, Shakespeare 's Globe, Tate Modern , River Thames , Tower Bridge, Tower of London , Marble Arch and Hyde Park. From these places I liked it more Hyde Park, it was a beautiful and big

The fourth day we visited Buckingham Palace, Change of Guard , Natural History Museum , Science Museum and Harrods , but here we don´t buy just anything, it was all very expensive.

The fifth and final day, after checking out , we visited the British Museum and went to buy Oxford Street, and finally ...Andrea could buy their Vans she liked ! . After we returned to the hotel to get our bags and go to the airport and go home .

These days were the best days of my life, and in the company of the best!
I hope you liked my post !

1. What place of London did you enjoyed most?
2. What did you think about the nights at the hotel?

London Incredible!

Hello class!
I´going to do this entry because I love the time that we passed in London, visit a lot of sites, museums and also we walk so much. The first day I think that we sleep like a baby becuse the journey. I was talking with Coke before enter to the plane and we said that the journey from Montoro to Málaga was just the beginning of in my opinion the best journey in my world, because the experience of travel to another country without your family; in cases are happy, because you can do a lot of things without your parents don´t say anything.

This photo was in Hyde Park, I think that they remebered it. This place was relaxing and very beautiful. Also I remembered the lot of times that we eat and dinner in McDonald´s. Also we was impreseed with the shop of the M&M´S in Leicester Square. Other thing that was "epic" was the fail of Antonio to try to enter in the underground without ticket.

I think that we passed very well in trip, becuase we can do a journey out of Spain and I think that we rememered for a long time. I love the moments that we visited all the museums, our form of visit them was watch some things and go out of them or do a lot of things and didn´t watch anything. I love the next photo because we went to the natural museum and it was taked in the souvenir´s shop with Coke.

And now some questions, they are very easy:

1.- Do you went to the M&M´S shop? You buy any product?
2.- How many times do you ate in the McDonald´s?
3.-You go to London one more time but, for live there?
*I´m think that if I can´t found a work here in Spain I go to London for try work there

Bye class!! And see you tomorrow! :D

WITHOUT YOU IS NOT THE SAME

First, especially, I had liked to go with you and to spend it time so well with all of you, but, though it has not been like that, I also had already fun with my family and friends. Well, I have chosen some images that look like to me the sites that were staying a bit for describing (a short summary of them), so let’s see them!

My first image is about Westminster Abbey:

This is one of Britain's finest Gothic buildings; a masterpiece of 13th-16th century architecture. Westminster Abbey is also the home to the shrine of St Edward the Confessor, the tombs of kings and queens, and countless memorials to the famous and the great.
The abbey has been the setting for every Coronation since 1066 and for numerous other royal weddings and occasions, including the wedding of Princess Diana and Prince Charles. The church is open to tourists from Monday to Saturday with both audio tours and tours led by church officials.
There you have a photo of us in the façade; though we are smiling we wanted to go away inside the abbey to obtain a little heat!!!

Tomb of Anne Seymour, Duchess of Somerset

The second image is about Piccadilly Circus:

Piccadilly Circus is a busy square in the heart of London. It is famous for the fountain that was installed here at the end of the 19th century and for the neon advertising that turned the square into a miniature version of Times Square.

Nowadays, Piccadilly Circus is a tourist attraction in if same, probably consequence of being this one of the most important points of the city, with more traffic and ideally as place of meeting.
We were to -8 degrees when we were there, for Christmas certainly. So, it was a “cold visit”!!!

And the last one is about:

Harrods is London's most famous department store. The luxurious store is on many tourists' itineraries, which come to admire the magnificent interior and enormous selection. They often leave the store with a signature green bag; foreign visitors account for a significant part of the store's sales.

Talking about prices, therefore their prices are quite high in general. Many tourists opt to buy as a gift or souvenir boats of tea, teddy bears, chocolates, other economic articles. We didn´t buy anything for that, it was very expensive! Here, you have link of a video of all Harrods, you must see it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QaDxjZ8e0rM

And my questions are:

1~ Did you visit Piccadilly Circus?
2~ Tell us a little bit of history of the Westminster Abbey.
3~ What was your favourite and interesting place from London? Tell us your opinion!
4~ Did you improve your English? I think so!!

11.06.2013

                                 COVENT GARDEN

Do you remember Covent Garden? We went there the first day and we had a lot of fun there:

Do you remember the man (or the woman) flying, and dressed and painted on gold? We spent a lot of time thinking about how this person could be flying. We said he could have a type of chair under the trousers, a stick trough the arm,...

Do you remember the man who was telling jokes on the Street and urged us to say "jump!" several times so the people looked to the sky? And when this man insulted chinese people and a lot of them appeared near of us, so he started to apologize?

Do you remember the violinists who were playing their instruments at the bottom of the stairs?

Do you remember the clown of the square who was walking on ropes or climbing with plastic bricks?

In my opinión, Covent Garden is a crazy zone, with crazy people, but, at the same time, it is lovely with its old toy stores, its expensive jewelers, its restaurants and small and big shops and, of course, its wonderful monument with its name.

HISTORY AND LOCATION

Originally, the land on which Covent Garden is was known as the Garden of Convent, a farmland where vegetables grown to give food to the monks of the Saint Peter's Convent . In 1540 the lands were confiscated by King Henry VIII and assigned to the first Earl of Bedford, John Russell. In 1632 the fourth Earl of Bedford began to build here the first modern public square of London, surrounding it with luxury buildings for the richest population.
During the Great Fire of London ,many traders with their businesses destroyed, moved to Covent Garden, occupying the square. In 1830 a building was built in the center to house a market.

Covent Garden is a district in London, at east of the West End, between St. Martin's Lane and Drury Lane. It is always associated with the fruit and vegetable market in the central square, altough now is a popular shopping and tourist site. it has access to the Royal Opera House, which is also known as "Covent Garden". The north part of the district has independent shops, while the south contains the central square with its street performers and most of the elegant buildings, theatres and other interesting sites, including the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, and the London Transport Museum.

QUESTIONS

1- What did you liked the most from Covent Garden?

2- Could you describe one of the sites I have noun in the text, such as the Royal Opera House?

3- Do you have any theory about how the gold man could "float"?

4- What did you do when we were there? Did you bought something?

5- Would you like to come back to Covent Garden?

AN SPECIAL TRIP!

LONDON

The first of all I want to say is that I liked so much this trip because we had lots of fantastic moment all together and we passed a good time. I think the trip was a little tired but it was worth.
My favourite place was the Big Ben because I love it and we have many photos taken there, so my first cuestion is: What your favourite place in London?
In my opinion one of the funniest days was when a person in the street made fun magic tricks and there were many people looking to him and we laughed a lot.
I have many fotos of that fantastic trip but my favourites are those:
1.-This photo shows us when the plain took us from London to Malaga where we took the bus to arrived our homes.I like so much this photo because in this photo Antonio, Rafa and me were sitting together and we were in the room of the hotel together too and in this photo appeared Guillermo and four more people that were making stranges faces.
2.-The second one I like too because appeared more people of the class.I think in this photo all my partner were wearing long trousers and I was wearing a short jeans but the weather was all days good except one day.

Finally I want to give thanks to all the class because this is the best class of all!!!!
The cuestions are very simple, remember that you have one at the top of the post.
-Did you buy many things the last day?
-Did you lost the undergroun ticket? I remenber the husband of Maria Jose buy another because my thicket was of another day but the last weekend I found it in my coat!!!! I´M SORRY!!

Thanks to all, I hope you like it.

                     My best trip:

We had been in London from 19 June to 23 June. For me this trip was very exciting and fantastic with the best class.  We visited differents monuments and places such us the Big-ben,  the Tower of London, the London Bridge, Chinatown, the Natural Museum, the British museum …

Well, I am going to explain my point of view of the visited of Chinatown and the museums.

When we went to Chinatown, we saw many things differents and incredible for example the two statues like a dragon.

But, for me the visited of the museums were really funny and interesting, first we went to national gallery, well it was really funny, because we asked to the people of the national gallery for the  “Scream” and finally an Spanish girl said us that the “Scream” wasn´t there hahaha.

Another day we visited the Science museum, and it was really incredible and very big, well some of my classmates lost in the museum, but fortunately we found the rest of the class. Then we went to the Natural museum, it was very big, and it had a lot of things that you can investigate or play with them, it was so curious.

Finally, I am going to tell you some questions:

1-. What do you think about Chinatown?

2-. What was the most interesting museum that we visited?

3-. What was your favourite places that we visited in this city?

"Please keep calm, you're speaking very loudly"

Well, if I say the truth, I don't know how to start. There are a lot of memories in my head and all of them want to go out at the same time, but I am going to remember you only some of them.
Almost all of my partners have spoken about differents places of the trip, but I'm going to speak about the nights in the hotel because they were also part of the trip and all of them were amazing.

During the last year, we were saying that  we weren't going to sleep in the trip, because some people was going to make us jokes meanwhile we were sleeping. I was really worried about it :(
But actually we aren't bad people and nobody did anything strange, in fact, nobody did what we said we were going to do. I think that (talking about my room partners) the day that we went to bed latest was at three or four o`clock. There are some exceptions like Coke who went to bed at 7 o`clock on the last day we were in London (He is crazy).

The nights in London made us to be more friends, after this trip we have gotten a lot of confidence, that's the reason because I think this trip is special.

The first night I remember that we went to sleep too early because we were tired, but before go to bed, we all went to one room (I think that was Inma, Andrea and Cristina`s room) to talk and to take photos and of course to have a lot of laughs.
The second night Rafa and me went to Inma's room and we said to her that we were going to do a "Spanish party" there because of the big amount of food she took to the trip, and she got so angry, but now, I think that it's one of the things that make us laugh a lot, I mean, A LOT.
The third night was the best night for me, we all (the teaches and us) were in one room and we were talking about all, it was absolutly fantastic.
The fourth night was like the others, we weren't always in a same place, we went to the hall, to other rooms...

I know that each of you have done more things (me too) but I'm describing the nights in general.

Here you have  two photos in the hotel rooms, I like them because our faces are not normal...

Questions:
1-Which of the nights was the best for you? Why?

2-Tell us a curious thing about one of the nights.

3-What number of room did you have?

4-Which night did you like the most?

10.23.2013

Something more than a trip

Well, all of us will remember this trip and every moment that we spend on it. The first day we were so nervous when we arrived to the Malaga's airport and when we caught the plane, but when we arrived to London and we saw all the things in English and we understand British people, then, we relax.
The five days at London were incredible and the bests for me were the day that we visited the Big Ben, it's true that it wasn't as amazing as I thought, but i like it, and the next day when we visited the Tower Bridge, well...it was incredible, we took a lot of incredible photos there and we had a good time talking with the teachers. The thing I remember from this the is the moment of my 'Paga' photo with Blanca, that was epic!!
Also the moments that we lived at the hotel were...well they were amaizings and unusuals hahahaha, we did a lot of friends from diferents part of Spain and also we improve the friendship between us. The first night with the Spanish party at my room, when we spend the time at the hall, or running through the halls, etc, moments that I will never forget.

This are my favourite photos of the trip, all of us were so happy in this five perfect days.
Say thanks to you, for these three amaizings years thatwe have passed, with their nerves and bad times and especially the moments of fun, with tears in more than a farewell partya and for all hours  that we spent together, thanks. And thanks also to Maria José, Paqui and Pepe, for the good times of the trip.

''Five days that none of us forget, that will always be there. London 2013.''

------------------------------------------------------------------------

My questions are:

1-Which is the time that  you more remember from the trip?

2-If you can change somenthing of the trip, would you do it?

London

Time has gone by, London has gone. The last year of our ESO stage has started. A new year of “huge feelings”, as we’ve said in some subjects. But we'll never forget that excursion... Did you know that London has the summary of our trip hidden in its initials?

London 2013: the best trip EVER!
Most of you will agree with me: that trip to London  that we made in June, is the best we’ve ever made, and surely, the one that I’ll remember with more affection and love. I never imagined that this trip was going to be so special for me, and I don’t say this to “decorate” my post, believe me, I feel all that I’m going to write in this entry.

Oh my God, we UNDERSTAND English people!
I wanted to start with this title of the summary of the first day, because (apart from the arrival to the UK), was the thing that more impacted me. I remember myself speaking English with the policewoman. She asked me: What's your name?. You speak English very well... And I was like: Oh no, dear, you'll make me turn red... hahahahahaha.

Malaga's airport: the beginning of the beginning,
I also remember us in Covent Garden with the magician, shouting to nobody; "JUMP, JUMP, JUMP, JUMP!"
Then, the walk through Leicester Square and China Town was simply amazing.

National gallery: "The Scream", wanted.
That was the second day. Trafalgar Square. National gallery.
I perfectly remember when we were like crazy students in the museum searching "nothing". When we asked to the girl in the museum and she said that The Scream was in the Netherlands... well, better we'll countinue with the next day... hahaha.

Diamonds, gold, and silver: the Tower of London and the Crown Jewels.
Third day. We walked to St. Paul's Cathedral. From there, we walked to the Shakeaspeare Globe through the Millenium Bridge. And then, I remember us walking fast, because we saw the Tower Bridge opened. (In summary: we walked). I also remember when I was giving food to pigeons with Alvaro Muñoz, Miguel and Inma.
And then, we arrived to my favourite monument of the city: the tower of London. What I like of this monument the most are beefeaters, but I also love ravens, the Crown Jewels... In my opinion, it's a very special place.

Old queen, Elizabeth II: OPEN US, PLEASE!
Fourth day. Buckingham palace. Change of guards. I never imagined that Buckingham Palace was going to be that way. Appart from the big it's, the lot of people that were there to watch the event was so amazing... When I arrived and I heard the band and people leaving the street empty, I automatically thought in our Holy Week... hahahaha.

No. No, no, no. Today: homecoming!
The last day. The thing I remember from this day is Andrea. Andrea and Oxford Street... hahahahaha.
I also remember me in Malaga's airport as a silly guy looking for coverage. But I didn't find it until the next day...

That's my entry. The only thing I wanna say is thanks class, thanks Antonio and Alvaro (my roommates), thanks girls and thanks boys for this amazing trip. I love you all!

                                       LEICESTER SQUARE

Hello everybody! Today, I´m going to talk about a place that we visited in our last trip to London: Leicester Square. Leicester Square is a pedestrian square where there are restaurants, shops, cinemas... It is near of Picadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square, that are two important symbols of London. In our trip last June, we were here two times and we enjoyed it a lot.

In this photo, we are in Leicester Square. It was the first day, the best in my opinion. We are sitting on the grass and enjoying the atmosphere of the place. In the background, there is a cinema. Leicester Square is a point in London where films premieres are shown to the public. From my point of view, it was one of my favourite place because there were many people and shops there.

A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY...

Leicester Square was bought by Robert Sidiney, in 1630. Five years ago, he built a house in this place. But the place with lot of shops, restaurants and more places that we know started to develop in 1670, surrounded Robert´s house.

Here I share with you  a video of an unknown person. In this video , you can see a view of 360º of Leicester Square

QUESTIONS

1) What do you think about this place? Is it interesting for you?

2) In Leicester Square there is a cinema called Odeon. Can you tell me how many seats are there in this cinema?

3) Is it a good meeting-point?

4) Did you visit M&M`s shop?

Goodbye class! :D

My favourite place of London - "The Buckingham Palace with my friends"

Hello to everybody! I hope that you like this photo, because it's a funny photo in a special place.

First, I want to say to you that I have chosen this picture because in the photo, we can see that we are in front of the BUCKINGHAM PALACE: the house of the Queen, Elisabeth II, one of the most important people in the world, she has a lot of political power over millions of people in the world. She is the parliamentary monarch of sixteen sobereign states, like Canada.

The presence of the Elisabeth II is the most peculiarity of this place, although it doesn't the only one that makes that thousands of people go to the Buckingham Palace. Also, a very beautiful thing that people want to see when they go to the United Kingdoms is the CHANGING OF THE GUARDS of this palace. It's a moment in the day (the midday) in which the guards march in formation and other guards go to the position of the others to do the same next day. During this act, a musical group marches in formation playing instruments. I made a video when we were there, watch it!

Talking of the appearance of the monuments and his history, the Buckingham Palace is a palace with Gregorian and Neoclassical style (talking of architecture).

The palace has a big balcony, where the Queen and the Royal Family are sometimes in special occasions. In the fiftieth anniversary of the coronation of Elisabeth II, over a million of people went to the Buckingham Palace, and the Queen and their family were in the balcony. In this celebration, Brian May (the guitarist of the group Queen) played the God save the Queen in the top of this amazing palace.

Finally, I want to say to you that I love this photo because we are all together and next to us there is a big and amazing palace which is very famous! In my opinion, it was a good experience and I impressed with this palace because it is unique!

QUESTIONS

1. Did you pass a good moment seeing the changing of the guards there, in London?

2. What is the funniest face of the photo? (Your own opinion)

3. Can you say to me another piece of information of the Buckingham Palace?

4. What is the national hymn of UK?
