The formula one is the most popular international car
competition. The formula one consist in races that are called "Grand
Prix" and the competition that grouped them is called "Formula One
World Championship".
Most of the circuits where celebrate the Grand Prix
are permanent circuits (circuits that are specifically designed for
competitions), like the circuit of Sepang, in Malaysia. But also there is
another type of circuit: the street circuit,
it is a circuit composed of public streets. There are several street circuits,
like the famous circuit of Monaco, which is a very difficult race, with a high
average of retirements for race, due to the narrow streets of Monaco or our race celebrated in Valencia, which is called
the Grand Prix of Europe.
CIRCUIT OF MONACO
CIRCUIT OF SEPANG
CIRCUIT OF VALENCIA
The FIA is the organization which directs the formula one. The FIA has got rules, and
the drivers must to carry out all the rules. Here you can see the rules; the meaning of all the flags, the rules that have
to carry out the single-seaters, the punctuation system, which changes each few years, like you can see
in the table:
The drivers must to drive his single-seater as fast as
possible to win the Grand Prix therefore their single-seaters have several
devices, to help the car to go faster, I'm going to tell you one: the DRS, is a
device introduced in the 2011 season of formula one with the purpose of
reducing aerodynamic load of the single-seater and increase his speed to
facilitate the overtaking.
Every single-seater is driving by a driver, and every
driver has got a motor-racing team, which is composed by two drivers. For
example:
DRIVERS
|
MOTOR-RACING TEAM
|
|
Fernando Alonso
|
Felipe Massa
|
Ferrari
|
Sebastian Vettel
|
Mark Webber
|
Red Bull
|
Lewis Hamilton
|
Jeson Button
|
McLaren

The Spanish driver more prize-winning of the history
of the formula one is Fernando Alonso. He is twice champion of the Formula One
World Championship, in 2005 and 2006, and he is the third driver with more
podiums in the history of the formula one and the fifth driver with more
victories. Also, Fernando is one of the four drivers in make one's debut with a
victory in the motor-racing team of Ferrari.
And now, some questions about the formula one!!
1- Where is celebrated the famous Grand Prix in which the
drivers compete at night?
2- Who is the driver who more Formula One World
Championship has in his power?
3- What is the meaning of the abbreviation
"DRS"?
4- Tell me a device for the improvement of the
single-seater in the race (not DRS).
Hi everyone!
ReplyDeleteBefore starting, I want to say that I like Javi's post, but, as you know, I don't understand anything of sport, so you can imagine the difficulty to understand that... jajaja. If I'm wrong in my answers, forgive me ;).
1~ It's the Marina Bay Street Circuit
2~ The driver who has win more times the F1 World Championship is Michael Schumacher. He has win 7 times (in 1994, 1995, 2000-2004)
3~ The abbreviation of DRS means, in English, Drag Reduction System.
4~ 'Kers'. It consists of a device which store the energy of the breaking, and then the device propels the car.
Well, Javi I've to say that I'm fascinated of this information, I've learned lots of things, but I'm not sure if I will be able to remember them... Good post!
HELLO CLASS! :D
ReplyDelete1- It's the Singapore circuit.
2-Michael Schumacher. He is a seven-time World Champion, but also he's the most banned.
3- It is an English abbreviation that means: Drag Reduction System.
4-A regenerative brake or Kers is a device which reduces the speed of a vehicle transforming part of its kinetic energy into electrical energy. This electrical energy is stored for a future use.
Javi, I have to say that I really don't like the F1, but with this post I have learnt a lot of things about it. Probably I will see more circuits now, because I can understant more things about this sport.
CONGRATULATIONS, JAVIER! :)
Hello everybody!
ReplyDeleteAmazing post Javi! Here I can see things about F1 that I didn´t know... Congratulations!

3- DRS means Drag Reduction system. This system allows that cars can advance to the other cars easily.
4- There are only two devices for drivers:DRS and Kers. Kers consists in reduce the speed of the car and converts cinetic energy in electric energy.
Good nights :)
Hello!
ReplyDelete1. In singapore's circuit the drivers compete at night.
2. Michael schumacher is who has won more Formula One Championship(7).
3. DRS means Drag Reduction System.
4. Kers is an advantage that help to get back the velocity using the power breaking.
Hi!
ReplyDelete- It is singapore' s circuit, a fantastic one, I love it!
- It is michael Schumacher, who won 7 Champioships. Today, he isn't so good, but it's a good pilot too.
- It means Drag Reduction System.
- I don't think that there isn't many devices similar to the DRS, but there is a novelty called the double DRS, who is going to be fibbiden in 2013.
Hello!
ReplyDelete1 -The Marina Bay Street circuit1 mostly known as the Singapore street circuit is a street racing circuit hosting the Singapore Grand Prix Formula 1 from the 2008 season, the best record in this circuit was a lap record of 1: 45,976 by Kimi Raikkonen with Ferrari in 2008.

3 -DRS (Drag Reduction System) Is the system to reduce drag.
4 - The shark fin, one could incorporate F1 cars in 2013. The shark fin is an engine cover to be folded into the car and help viewers to better identify F1 drivers.
Bye!
How are you students?
ReplyDeleteI suppose you have been investigating to answer Javi's questions. They're not easy for those who don't like F1 much. I consider it a good topic because it gives you the opportunity of discovering new things.
Your entry is good. Thank you, Javi.
Your English teacher.
