·What is the Oscar?

The Academy Award, is  a prize awarded by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in recognition of excellence of professionals in the film industry, including directors, actors and writers. It is one of the world's most prestigious ceremonies, and is broadcast live each year for more than one hundred countries. It is also the oldest award ceremony in the media, and their equivalents.

The AMPAS was conceived by Louis B. Mayer, president of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, as an organization to improve the image of the film industry and help mediate labor disputes. The Oscars were created later by the Academy as an award "in recognition of the achievement obtained" in the film industry.

The first awards ceremony took place on May 16, 1929, at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles, honoring film achievements obtained in the years 1927 to 1928.

·In 2012, one of the Spanish films that has been successful has been "The Impossible".

The Impossible is a Spanish film production of dramatic suspense. It is directed by Juan Antonio Bayona, produced by Apaches Entertainment and Telecinco Cinema and starring Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor. The film comes from a true story that recreates the experience of a Spanish family in the tsunami that devastated the coast of Southeast Asia in 2004, which killed thousands of people.

The film was shown worldwide on September 9, 2012 at the International Film Festival in Toronto, July 27 of the same month, one projected in Spain in the International Film Festival of San Sebastian where the protagonist of the film, Ewan McGregor.

Impossible, will be at the Oscars after the nomination of Naomi Watts in the category of Best Actress, as announced Thursday by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Hollywood.

Federico García Lorca

Born in Fuente Vaqueros, Granada, Spain, June 5,1898; died near Granada, August 19,1936, García Lorca is Spain's most deeply appreciated and highly revered poet and dramatist. His murder by the Nationalists at the start of the Spanish civil war brought sudden international fame.Federico belongs at the famous "Generation of the 27".  

 As a poet, his early reputation rested on the Romancero gitano the poems of Poema del Cante Jondo,and Llanto por Ignacio Sanchez Mejias. In 1918 published his first book "Impresiones y paisajes".In 1920 he premiered his work in theater"El maleficio de la mariposa ".In 1921 he published "Libro de Poemas" and in 1927 he exhibiting his first painting shows.

In 1929 he went to New York.Of his trip and stay in New York comes the book Poet in New York.In 1930 he went to Havana, where he wrote most of his works." Así que pasen cinco años y El público" That year he returned to Spain, where he was received in Madrid with the news that the popular farce " La zapatera prodigiosa " was staging.

Difficult doesn't mean impossible

Almost always, we don’t read or heard news about paralympian sportsmen or sportswomen. We only know about the things that the professional Olympian sportsmen/women do, but in my opinion, are the paralympian people who work harder and really love what they do, and they don’t think only in the money that they can win, because there are a lot of effort behind the prizes and medals they win. It’s too difficult for paralytics people to do things that we do normally. But it doesn't means impossible.

Examples of this effort in paralytics athletes are:

Oscar Pistorius was born in South Africa on November 22, 1986. HE LOST THEIR LEGS WHEN HE WAS ELEVEN MONTHS OLD! But he tried to have a normal life.

He loved doing sports, especially athleticism, but all the people thought that he couldn’t do any sport due to the absence of their legs, but he always said them this:

"I'm not an invalid, just I haven’t got legs. Also, everyone has a disability ... the worse is the lack of spirit".

So, after a hard work, he could do water polo, swimming and the sport where he won more prizes: athleticism.

Oscar became so good in this sport; in fact, they ran in the Olympics games of London (not paralympics games) with athletes with two legs, but he managed to finish at second position in one race!

Also, he has run against a horse in a race, and yes, he has won too!

And now a Spanish person: Teresa Perales.

She was born in Zaragoza on 29 December 1975. In 1995, at the age of nineteen, she was diagnosed with neuropathy and lost the use of her legs in only three months!

But she never gives up to her dream: be a professional swimmer. So, she worked hard during five years because she wanted to be at the Paralympics Games in Sydney, where she started to win a lot of medals.

Now she is the Spanish Paralympic person with more medals, she has the same record that Michael Phelps, but she will continue swimming more time.

With examples like these, I want you to think about this, because not only the people without a physical or mental disabilities are able to do more things that the people who have those disabilities, only is needed hard work and spirit!

LOVE

Love is defined as "an emotion of a strong affection and personal attachment", but in my opinion, that one is not the only definition of love because love is many things. I'm going to start to explain "love" from all my points of view:

First, I think that love is the group of feelings that you feel about something. There are two ways to feel love; I'm going to explain them:

On the one hand, when you feel love about a thing, for example: you can love so much the cars, because it's a passion that you like so much, this is the reason for you can arrive to love something. Some people think that love is being loved by someone, but that is incorrect. Also, some people love music, and they think that can be married with the music; almost all the musicians that do music for pleasure, and not for money, feel this.

One the other hand is feel love to another person. There are millions of ways to love to another person, some are these (after every type of love, I'm going to write a sentence to you understand better)  

-  Love that arrive early/ late. Love arrives when it thinks that is the better moment. There are some people that get along together from 10 years old, like Fernando Torres and his wife, but I think that it's not good, because you are "tied" from you are young, this is badly because you "get tie up" to a person and you can't enjoy some things of the life. "The moment can be any old"

Also, you can find love with 15 years old, 30 years old or 50 years old, there is no an exactly time. There are people that are married with 70 years old, but it isn't any problem, all is permitted in love.  "Never is too late"

- Loving when you feel lonely. If the person that you love doesn't love you, it's a problem because you can do a crazy thing that it isn't necessary, you must wait your turn because the life always gives you all you need, of one way or another. This is a topic very common in society, some people commit suicide, in my opinion these people are crazies, to die for love is useless, don't win nothing. But if you find love, you fell that you are the happiest in the world. "A hundred billion castaways looking for a home"

Moto GP

Moto GP is the maximun category of the motorcycling in the world. This is considered this one as the most important event in the area of the speed in the mtorcycling. His organization comes determined by Motorcycling´s International Federation, as it happens with other categories of the championship (Moto2 and Moto3).

The first time that race a title of the motorcycle was in 1905, when Alessandro Anzani turned in the first champion of the world in this modality on 15 July of the same year. In a race celebrated in the Velodrome Zurenborg of Antwerp (Belgium), Anzani made cost his motor Alcyon Buchet of 1/3 liters for won the race after the fell of the Belgian Olieslagers (Minerva), and ending ahead of the Frenchman André Pernette (Kingfisher).


 
                     

 The first world GP that organized Motorcycling's International Federation (FIM) dates back of 1949, and his evident economic potential has not gone unnoticed since then. The comercial rghts of the championship belong nowadays to Dorna Sports. Traditionally several races have been celebrated in every Great Prize, according to the different types of motorcycles and basing in the cylinder capacity of the engine. There have existed categories of 50cc, 80cc, 125cc, 250cc, 350cc, 500cc and 750cc.

One Direction

One Direction is a boy band formed by Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson on July´s 23nd July at the TV programme X Factor. They didn´t went to the progamme toguether, but the organisation decided join the boys. They signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records after being formed and finishing third.

They have two albums,the first it is  Up All NIght and the second one is Take Me Home. One Direction is coming soon to Spain and they will give several concerts.

Last month they met the Queen of England and the 3rd of december 2012 they gave a concert at Madison Square Garden

 One Direction have sold over 15 million albums, singles, and videos worldwide. Their achievements include a BRIT Award and 3 MTV Video Music Awards,etc.

TV, GOOD OR BAD

The first tv was a scanning disk system, a  spinning disk with a series of holes rotating toward the center.He inventor, Paul Gottlieb Nipkow was university student from Germany.

In the year 1927, the scotch engineer John Logie Baird patent the first public tv and one year later, he create the first color tv.

 From his year to now, the tv advance a lot and now a lot of people have a plasm tv.

Now a lot of medic and people say that if you watch much the tv, you can have problems of vision.
