                                    APOLO 11

Apolo 11 was the space mission that United States sent to the space 16th July 1969 with the objective of arrive to the Moon. Apolo 11 took off from Florida. The crew* was composed by Neil A Amstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin E. Aldrin

The mission lasted 195 h, 18 m and 35 s and they stayed on the Moon´s surface 21 h, 36 m and 20 s.

After a hard and long travel, they arrived to the Moon at 22:56(Boston´s time). Amstrong was the first in left the spaceship and step the surface. Then, he pronounced some words that the human live never will forget:

" It´s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind"

Aldrin was the second in leave the spaceship. He was so surprised with the landscape that he was watching in that moment. He dialogued with Amstrong, and they said:

A- Beautiful, beautiful...
AM- The sight of a magnificent desolation
A- Magnificent definition

The United States president told with the astronauts, saying them that probably, it was the most important call in the human´s history.

The spaceship arrived to the Pacific Ocean 24th July at 18:50. The mission was completed

But some people say that the astronauts never went to the Moon and that the mission was a lie.   Also, there is a conversation between Amstrong and the operators. Amstrong saw a "ovni" and the operators in the Earth say him that he have to continue with the program that they organized. Do click here to watch the video.

1) How many astronauts were in the spaceship when they arrived?

2) Do you think that is it the most important success in the human life?

3) Tell us the words that Amstrong pronounced

4) What animal was the symbol of  Apolo 11?

I HOPE THAT YOU LIKE MY POST

1- Three (Neil A Amstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin E. Aldrin)
2- No, I don't. I think that there were many successes in this world... I think that this it's one of the most important, but no the most important...
3- It's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.
    4- It was an eagle!

    Good bye!! :P

  2. Hi Antonio! Hi class!

Congratulations, a great topic to talk about. The most interesting thing of this is that if really, we have gone to the moon. Personally, I think that we've travelled, but... It's hard to think that in this year, 1969, the TV waves were well arriving to the Earth... And here, my answers!

1| There were 3 men in the spaceship: Neil Amstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin Aldrin.

2| Talking about travels, yes. It's easy to say it, but think about it: We've travelled to the moon! (well, it depends of our opinion). I hope we could go to Mars soon! It will be an incredible notice!
And talking about human advances, no. There are lots of better things, for example, the 'purification' of water. What is more important? Travelling to the moon, or driking water? Of couse, the second... It was a "giant leap", hahahaha.

3| "It´s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind"

4| The symbol of Apolo XI was an eagle.

    Great post!

    Bye class! See you Antonio!

  6. Hi everybody!

As I always do, I want to say to Antonio: Congratulations! You've put two post here and both are amazing! I knew some about Apolo XI but due to your post now I know almost all the most important information of it. I like learning these things!!

    1. There were three astronauts: Neil A Amstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin E. Aldrin.

    2. I think the only place you can visit that is more important than the Moon is another planet. But in my opinion, it is similar to the Moon. I think is one of the most important travels that people can do. As my partners said, there are a lot of important sucesses in the world, but if I think I will go to the Moon, I'll be more nervious than if I would go to Groenlandia, for example.

    3. Amstrong said: " It´s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind"

    4. The animal that represented the symbol of Apolo XI was an eagle.

    Goodbye! :)
