 A DIFFERENT WAY TO BUY

IKEA isn't a shop like the rest.
Normaly, when you are going to buy
furniture, you usually take it on your own.
But in IKEA you have  to do
 something different...

Yes, you have to follow this three steps to buy your furniture (the three steps of the right picture). It's very interesting, you enter in the shop and you take a pencil and a small notebook with spaces to write the number and the data of the product. You can also take a map of the shop to guide you, although the streets of the shop have arrows  and another, bigger maps.

In IKEA you don't have to pass long hours looking stupid and boring furniture, because there, the products are arranged in "rooms". You can see bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms, dining rooms, bathrooms,...

IKEA had made lots of different adverts.
Click here and there to listen some of them, I love this adverts!

But furniture isn't the only thing you can buy here, this shop has also a small supermarket in wich you can buy food, a fast food restaurant, children's areas,...

And finally, after choose your products, you can pick them in an enormous stock. You have to look for the streets with the anotated data in your notebook.
You just have to pay them, carry at home and assemble them. And of course, enjoy them. Good luck!

            And now, the questions:

  1- From where is IKEA?

2- Have you ever gone to this shop?

3- What is the famous slogan of IKEA?

4- What's the origin of IKEA word?

5- How many IKEA's stores are there in Spain?

That's my entry. I hope you like it and you comment in it, it's very easy!

Some months ago, I heard in the news that IKEA removed all women in Saudi Arabia (in catalogues), and although IKEA rectified and recognised its mistake, I think that it's serious one... Nobodies know what were they thinking of in that moment, but something strange (it isn't very strange if we think of Arabia, and the role of women in this country...) but OK. At least the rectified it.

PS: Inma, what a wonderful photo with you and bubbles! Hahahaha

    Bye class!

  10. Fantastic and original photo. Your post is quite good and the adverts are really amusing. There are people who are addictive to IKEA. I've visited it, it's different and you can find pretty useful things there.
